A Study Of The Miraculous - Part IX

A Study Of The Miraculous – Part IX

6 And it came to pass,

* thank God most things do come to pass and not to stay.

> good things and bad things alike are but passing moments of life

> The circle of life declares that things begin and at some time those things end.

* Remember a sermon last year on the circle of life:

1. The Circle of Life (things begin and end)

2. The Cycle of Life (in between there are ups and downs, good things and bad things happen)

3. The Secret of Life (you reap what you sow)

> New chapters of life and ministry are always beginning

> The story of your life will be written by the decisions you make in your future, not by the decisions you have made in your past.

> You are either at your greatest day, coming from your greatest day or going to your greatest day … the good news is that it is all up to you.

> The difficult things you go through may not be punishment for your past but positioning for your future.

* This woman could have missed her deliverance and desire by sitting there enjoying her miracle.

* Peter would have missed his calling and productivity, not to mention Jesus missing the cross if they had have stayed up on the mount of transfiguration. There is work to be done in the valley.

* Sometimes when miracles or miracle services end it is for the best so that life can be maximized and the kingdom advanced. The problem is at times people refuse to let go of the miracle moment and try to keep it going even without God. They try to breath their own breath into it once God stops breathing on it. They attempt to manufacture miracles.

* If one can manufacture miracles, then the next step is to market the miraculous.

* Acts 8:19 Simon of Samaria wanted to buy the power of God so that he would also manufacture and perhaps market miracles.

*Nonetheless … things, even good things & God things, end!

> Acts 19:11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:

12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.

> Acts 19:20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

21 ¶ After these things were ended, …

* Some things, bad things, good things and God things, just end.

* You do not have to tear down the old good thing from the past to begin a new good thing for the future.

* Life is a series of beginnings and endings.

* Miracles begin and Miracles end

* God gave His children leadership through the wilderness by the cloud and fire but He also gave them times when He was not leading them toward their destiny by the miracle cloud. Times when they pitched their tents and rested from their hard journey. Some of these times lasted a short period and some long.

* God gives us plateau moments and seasons in order for us to assimilate experiences, rest and ready ourselves for the next step, the next season or the next adventure.

* Security, safety and longevity are not in height but in depth and width. Plateaus are blessings … opportunities to go deeper with God, anchor our souls and allow faith to incubate.

* Jesus went from the place of prayer to the place of prayer and in between He worked miracles.

* There are set times for the ordinary course of life to dominate our time and attention.

* To endeavor to live in the extreme moments of life all of your life can drive a person crazy.

* To be depressed about the normal, every day routine of making a life and making a living is counter productive to the overall goals and purposes of God in a person’s life.

* Some miracles take time to incubate. This time is filled with ordinary daily duties and routines of living. It is most often the average, normal, every day individual who receives miracles in the bible.

* In Genesis 1:1ff the bible says that the earth was void and without form and darkness covered the face of the deep and the Spirit of God moved on the face of the waters and God said, Let there by light …

> The word moved:

> Pxr rachaph raw-khaf’

* a primitive root;

AV-shake 1, move 1, flutter 1; 3

(1) (Qal) to grow soft, relax

(2) (Piel) to hover

* The Spirit of God relaxed, quieted Himself, hovered over in consideration like a hen would brood over eggs and then the Spirit of God brought birth to His plan. Time is needed in miracle moments to relax and meditate and consider softly before and after the moment.

* And it came to pass: Indicates the passing of time between the believing and receiving

> believe: Be a liver of what you be

> belie: to not be what you be
