Time
is an envelope given to us by God containing all the wonderful things He has
promised.
Time
is a constant in our lives and time works hard to bring all things to pass.
Provision
and perfection are hidden in time.
Time
belongs to God.
Ecclesiastes 3
1 To everything there is
a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put
eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God
does from beginning to end.
The
first mention of time is in:
Genesis 4:3 ¶ And in the
process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of
the ground to the LORD.
“In
the process of time” describes life.
The
Bible also speaks about the fullness of time:
Galatians 4
4 But when the fullness of
the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
5 to redeem those who were
under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
God
does everything in His time and time is on our side. There is a beginning and
there is an end, and we live somewhere in the middle. The scriptures admonish
us:
Hebrews 6
11 And we desire that each
one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end,
12 that you do not become
sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the
promises.
13 For when God made a
promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by
Himself,
14 saying, “Surely blessing I
will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”
15 And so, after he had
patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
How
can we live our best life in trying times?
James 5
7 Therefore be patient,
brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the
precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the
early and latter rain.
8 You also be patient.
Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
Again,
how can you life your best life in trying times?
1.
Have faith in God …
2.
Be patient …
3.
Remember: Time is on our side.
