If you have missed any of the lessons in this series or would like to revisit any of the topics, simply go to You Tube or Facebook and type “GTCOTR” in the search bar and click on “Search”. That will allow you to scroll through these lessons along with some other video resources and teachings and you can easily find each one of our Healing Series teachings.

As well, you can also visit our Church website at cotr.com and you’ll see a simple and easy way to view these Sunday morning teachings. Also, I want to put a plug in for the March 2020 Wednesday evening mid-week services. I encourage you to watch those online as well. Each week I have used the Wednesday evenings to compliment an additional facet of healing leading the Believer to new discoveries that will assist them in their pursuit of God’s best for their life.

Are you ready for the Word? Let’s get to it.

·       Sunday, March the 1st, we Recognized the fact that it is the will of God to heal our mortal bodies for as long as we occupy them on planet earth.
·       Sunday, March the 8th, our guest speaker showed us the power of Repentance when it comes to seeking healing from the Lord.
·       Sunday, March 15th, last Sunday, I taught how to Rebuke the devil and his demonic attempts to put sickness and disease on us.

Today we are going to read a passage of scripture in the 5th chapter of the Gospel of Mark that is familiar to many Believers who pray for miracles. Let’s look at these verses and I’ll provide some commentary along the way.

Mark 5
25  Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years,
26  and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.

Now first let me dispel the error in some hyper-faith groups that teach going to the doctor is sin. That is a bunch of hogwash. Jesus never got on to anyone for seeking reasonable remedy for their problems. Going to the doctor, taking medicine, wearing glasses or getting vaccinated is not a sign that a person has a lack of faith in Jesus Christ.

The only time going to the doctor or taking medicine would be sin is if a person believed God wanted them to be sick or some reason. I wouldn’t want to be caught fighting against the will of God. However, since I don’t believe God trades in sickness and disease or gives people cancer or broken bones, I am never confused about what to do.

I do everything I possibly can to fight against sickness, disease, and infirmity from changing my diet to taking vitamins and prescription meds, and I pray to my heavenly Father that He will miraculously heal me or use those things I offer to Him to bring about my complete recovery.

In the account of Mark 5, the doctors didn’t cause this woman’s problems. No doubt they were doing everything they could to help her, but they were limited … they failed … and it cost her everything she had in the process. This woman was in the same place I have been more than once in my life … she needed a miracle … she needed something only God could do!

27  When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.
28  For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

Now, let’s put this in the order it happened.
1.  She heard about Jesus
a.  Hearing the Word of God deposited faith in her heart.
b.  Romans 10:17 Faith comes by hearing the Word …
2.  She embraced her faith by the confession of her mouth
a.  Faith speaks … what does faith say? Romans 10:6
b.  Faith says what God says …
c.   I have believed and therefore I have spoken … 1 Corinthians 4:13 … She spoke what she believed
d.  Our words activate our faith.
e.  Hang around me for a while and I can tell you what you believe, and you will also know what I believe.
f.    This woman believed that if she that she too could be healed like all those other people she heard were healed when Jesus touched them, or they touched Him. Matthew 14:36
3.  She acted on what she believed
a.  It wasn’t just talk …
b.  It wasn’t just a good sermon she heard …
c.   She believed and she left talking about it and doing it …

29  Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.
30  And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that virtue had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”
31  But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”
32  And He looked around to see her who had done this thing.
33  But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.
34  And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

We don’t’ know what happened to that woman in the years or decades after she was healed by Jesus. We know she must have eventually died of something, even if it was just old age. However, not that day … she didn’t die that day … not of that problem … nope … when the doctors had done all they could do and when it was only getting worse … she heard, she believed and she received … she was healed … her faith made her whole and she went home in peace and healed of her affliction.

Hebrews 3:15  “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”

2 Corinthians 6:2  For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.

Hebrews 11:1  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Today you can touch Jesus by faith. The Bible says:

Hebrews 4:15  For we do not have a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities …

Today, you can touch Jesus by calling on His name in prayer.

Don’t be the one who heard and did not do anything about it. Be like the woman who:
·       Heard about Jesus
·       Resolved in her heart and Embraced her faith
·       Received a Virtuous Touch from the Savior

Let’s Pray …
