Luke
24 NKJV
52
This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.
53
Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a tomb
that was hewn out of the rock, where no one had ever lain before.
54
That day was the Preparation, and the Sabbath drew near.
55
And the women who had come with Him from Galilee followed after, and
they observed the tomb and how His body was laid.
56
Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils. And they
rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment.
- God’s greatest work is most often accomplished while we are resting.
- Waiting on God is not wasting time.
- While we are waiting on God, God is working.
- What we do while we wait can often determine how long we wait.
Ephesians
6
13
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on
the breastplate of righteousness,
15
and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of
peace;
16
above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to
quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which
is the word of God;
18
praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being
watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all
the saints —
When we
have done everything we can do, the most Godly thing we can do is to
Stand at Rest …
For
He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
So we may boldly say: "The LORD is
my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" (Hebrews
13:5&6)
