Key Scripture: Mark 12:29 Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is: ’Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.’”
Important Points
1.
There is only one Truth.
2.
There is a limit beyond which tolerance ceases to be a virtue.
3.
There is only one God, Jehovah, the God of the Bible.

There is no competition between Jehovah and other so-called gods.
5. Choose who you will serve.
Deuteronomy 6
4 ¶ “Hear, O Israel: The LORD
our God, the LORD is one!
5 “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.”
God is not afraid of your choices. In fact, God wants you to choose.
Joshua 24:15 ¶ “And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
Jacob worshipped many gods, (Genesis 35:2). However, the Bible teaches there is, but one God and He alone is God. God reveals Himself as the eternal, all powerful, ever present single God of the universe. He describes Himself as the great I Am, the all sufficient One, and Creator of all things.
History has accommodated both monotheistic and polytheistic cultures. However, neither Muslims nor Hindus nor Buddhists believe what’s written in the Holy Bible. As well, Believers in the One True and Living God, Jehovah, whether they be Jew or Christian, do not embrace the writings or the traditions of these other false religions.
Although many people preach tolerance, there is a limit beyond which tolerance ceases to be a virtue. There is no competition between gods - there are no other gods. There is but one God, Jehovah Almighty, and Him only shall we serve, with our spirit, our soul, and our body.
God
is asking us to believe He is the only God, and that all other gods are
man-made idols without power and without life.

is only one Truth. Two truths cannot be true.
· God requires every person to choose.
Revelation 3
15 “I know your works, that
you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.
16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth."
