Fruits of the Spirit Series – Part 7 Faith

Gtcotr/ws110117

Galatians 5
22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Faith (Gk: Pis’-tis) = Conviction of and Trust in the Truth; Assurance

Hebrews 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Mark 9:23  Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Mark 5:34  And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

Four main ways we get faith:
1.   Romans 12:3 God gives every person enough faith to get saved.
2.   Romans 10:10 Faith comes by hearing the Word of God.
3.   1 Corinthians 12:7-9 Faith is a manifestation of the Holy Spirit.
4.   Galatians 5:22 Faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit living inside of us.

Matthew 17:20  So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”

Matthew 13
31  Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field,
32  “which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”

Hebrews 11 says faith is both substance and evidence of unseen realities.
