The Divine Call of God

 Gtcotr/ss062925

Jehovah God is a God of signs, wonders, and miracles. And this is a year of miracles. Miracles are things we cannot make happen, but God can. Miracles are gifts from our loving God. God often demands we participate in our miracles. Frankly, every step we take and every breath we breathe is a gift from God.

The greatest miracle awaiting the born-again believer in Jesus Christ will happen just after we breathe our last breath on planet earth. As a Christian, our greatest day is always yet ahead.

Matthew 9:35  Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Note in this verse and also in Matthew 4:23 that Jesus went -

·        Outside of the limits of His own town, Nazareth & Capernaum.

o   To big cities and to small communities.

·        Teaching in “their” synagogues.

o   They were not “His” synagogues, yet He went and taught.

·        Preaching the gospel of the Kingdom.

o   He shared the good news there is a place in life where God rules and reigns supreme.

·        Healing every sickness and every disease …

o   Giving remedies that worked in every situation they faced.

Teaching – Preaching – Healing

The Greek dictionary clearly defines these three as:

1.   Discussion group settings

·        The Greek: didasko = to hold discourse with others in order to instruct them.

2.   Public Proclamations

·        The Greek: kerusso = To make a proclamation openly after the manner of a public herald.

·        To Cry aloud in the streets.

3.   A Detailed and Specific Regime of Therapy

·        The Greek: therapeuo = to serve or do service in order to assist a cure and restore to health. Jesus was the best therapist ever …

·        If you received therapy and advice from Jesus it might include:

o   Diet – “Give her something to eat.” (Mark 5:43)

§  Fasting, feasting and dietary laws are Bible remedies.

o   ExerciseBend down; Lift up your bed; and Walk. (John 5:8)

o   Change of Habits – Sin no more. (John 5:14; 8:11)

Proper diet, sufficient exercise, and harnessing habits in line with a godly lifestyle will help to heal most mental and physical health needs. Miracles are available from God to heal the rest. "Don’t worry" is godly advice. A joyful heart is medicine for the soul. Don’t let anger make you sin … and don’t go to bed angry … all advice from God’s Word. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. God wants us to do our part and God will do His. All things are possible for those who believe.

Matthew 9

36 But when Jesus saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.

37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.”

38 “Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

The next chapter begins with Jesus sending His disciples out with authority to extend and to continue His ministry in places He had not yet visited. Still today in 2025, Jesus is needing every born-again believer to carry on His mission to the world.

We are the light of the world, and each church is intended to be a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden by the darkness around us. We are called with a great commission to make disciples of all nations by moving outside of the limits of our own town and venture into big cities as well as small communities.

As we go, we offer teaching to those who are willing to listen. We are bold and openly proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom in the public arenas, declaring Jesus as Lord and His coming again.

As well, we encourage people to trust God for healing of their body, souls, and spirits. By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit we have been authorized to offer spiritual remedies and pray for miraculous intervention by the divine grace of God.

People need the Lord, and souls are ripe for the harvest. Jesus said: “The harvest is plenteous, but the laborers are few. Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”

Let’s start there … pray with me now!
