This evening is going to be a little different and a little more direct than normal. Bear in mind this is not a social justice message, and it is not about becoming a social activist. Rather tonight is about becoming an evangelist. Social activism without Holy Spirit led evangelism is just loud voices marching in circles and trading places while the world goes to hell.
Believe me there are bigger problems at hand than masks mandates, forced vaccines, and infrastructure budgets that have nothing to do with infrastructure. We all face some big problems, but thanks be unto God we have been given the answers … the only answers … and we have a mighty God who is able.
John 14 NKJV
12 ¶ “Most assuredly, I say
to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater
works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
13 “And whatever you ask in
My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”
It does not offend God when people don’t understand Him, or have sincere questions, or honest pursuits about what He said in His Word. However it is very offensive to God when people just don’t believe Him and discount what He says without ever trying to understand Him.
One of the biggest sins and I think one of the greatest offenses we can offer to God is to not believe His Word.
I don’t have to tell you that the world is horrible, terrible, wicked, evil, depraved, and without God. And that they will do everything in their power to justify and defend their terrible thoughts, wicked words, and evil deeds. However, there is no justification or defense for the things they do. And there is no justification for the rest of us to ignore or to peacefully co-exist with evil-minded men and women who are directly inspired by satan and desire nothing more than to rob us of everything holy and pure.
Sin offends God, and it should offend us. But … the devil is banking on the fact that we won’t talk about things that offend us in the Church. The devil imagines we are too uncomfortable to talk about the truth and what is really going on … he believes we are weak and out of touch. And guess what – so far, he has been largely right. However … things are changing … and tonight, at least for those who aren’t offended in me, we are going to learn how to stop the devil in his tracks.
As I said, one of the greatest ways to offend God is to not believe what He says. However, there are a few other things that also greatly offend God. Seeing it is my duty as an ordained servant of the Lord to lead the families of our Church to gain victory over the devil and all he wants to do, let’s read together from the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 18.
I’m not only going to give you a brief glimpse of the bad, but I’m also going to tell you how we can stop the devil instead of ignoring him or simply being aware of the horrible things going on around us, which btw, we fund.
Here is a headline from yesterday, August 3, 2021, from the DailyWire.com
University Of Pittsburgh Wants To Be Fetal Parts ‘Distribution Hub,’ Sets Racial Quotas For ‘Harvesting’ Unborn Babies
Synopsis:
The University of Pittsburg proposed
harvesting the bodies of aborted babies under the guidance of racial quotas and
sought a $3 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to become a
“distribution hub.” They believed they were the best candidate due to their 18
years of experience collecting body parts of aborted babies and completing
research work to include grafting babies scalps onto rodents for immunology
experiments.
The Center for Medical Progress notes that if
the fetus heartbeat and blood circulation continue in a labor induction
abortion for harvesting organs, it means the fetus is
being delivered while still alive and the cause of death is the removal of the
organs. This gives the highest quality biological specimens.
Here is another example of a world without Christ.
Recent June 29, 2021, Washington Post piece called: “Yes, kink belongs at Pride. And I want my kids to see it.”
Quote:
“When our children grew tired of
marching, we plopped onto a nearby curb. Just as we got settled, our
elementary-schooler pointed in the direction of oncoming floats, raising an
eyebrow at a bare-chested man in dark sunglasses whose black suspenders clipped
into a leather thong. The man paused to be spanked playfully by a partner with
a flog. “What
are they doing?” my curious kid asked as our toddler cheered them on. The pair
was the first of a few dozen kinksters who danced down the street, laughing
together as they twirled their whips and batons, some leading companions by
leashes. At the time, my children were too young to understand the nuance of
the situation, but I told them the truth: That these
folks were members of our community celebrating who they are and what they like
to do.”
Another:
Associate professor at Yale University echoed
this sentiment in his article:
Keep Pride Nude – “What is the presumptive harm if a child … sees an adult’s butt cheeks or even an adult’s genitals or breasts?” He tries to justify his perversity when he says, “children might like it.”
Finally – The New York Times, Washington Post, and Yale faculty aren’t the only powerful players attempting to normalize pedophilia, Flora Gill, a biweekly columnist on “sex and relationships” who writes for GQ in the UK, called for the creation of “Porn for Children” which she calls “entry level porn.”
I don’t have to tell you that the world is evil and that satan is doing everything he can to capture and torture our children. Sin knows no bounds. Jesus is our only hope, and He has placed His hope in you!
Matthew 18
1 ¶ At that time the
disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of
heaven?”
2 Then Jesus called a little
child to Him, set him in the midst of them,
3 and said, “Assuredly, I say
to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no
means enter the kingdom of heaven.
4 “Therefore whoever humbles
himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5 “Whoever receives one
little child like this in My name receives Me.
6 “But whoever causes one of
these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a
millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the
sea.
7 ¶ “Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!
The
remedy taken from verses 8 & 9, cause us to first deal with our own
temptations and our own sin before we start trying to fix the problem in others
or on a national scale.
·
The
deeds you do
·
The
places you go
· The things you look at
8 “If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut
it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life
lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the
everlasting fire.
9 “And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it
out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with
one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire.
10 “Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.”
Don’t you think that if the angels in heaven give special attention to the protection of children that so should we?
There are so many problems in the world that can be viewed from the big picture and seen as a national problem however, nothing can be fixed on a national level … problems are only attacked and defeated at the local level.
We
will never successfully address any problem if we are unwilling to deal with it
in our own lives, families, schools, communities, and churches first.
Neither can we ignore it and expect it to just go away or think that perhaps it won’t come to your neighborhood, school, or even right into your living room.
We must stand up and speak out against such wickedness and evil. You cannot be afraid or allow the devil or his minions to intimidate you into self-censoring or avoiding conflict. For the love of Christ … at least pick up a pail and throw some water on the fire that is trying to entrap, consume, and kill our children.
You have got to start thinking about what you can do locally. Some of you need to run for city council seats, school boards, mayors, county commissioners, judges, volunteer for casa, become foster parents, run for state office, write a column, talk to your neighbors, get yard signs, wear t-shirts, hand out flyers, support people and organizations who are fighting this good fight on the front lines. Everybody can do something!
God is not looking for more people to sit in silence while they judge others and ignore their own responsibilities. Battles are won on a local level … that’s how we will win this war.
Jesus said that the work He did, you will do also, and even greater works will you do. Jesus talked about how precious children are in the eyes of God and how He was not willing that even one be harmed.
No doubt God wants to use you to do something about the terrible things going on in our nation. How do I know? Because God would use anyone to stand up and speak out about these evils in our land. And not just speak out to complain but speak out in a way that changes things.
You do not and will not have a national platform or a way to change the big picture. However, you do have influence with a few people around you. Most likely you talk to someone every day.
I’m not asking you to be a complainer or a gossip or to only talk the problem. You’ve got to share the answer. The answer is Jesus. People need to know that they must take a personal responsibility and you can encourage and support them to make a difference in their sphere of influence just like you. And some of you need to consider running for public office and broaden your sphere of influence beyond what it is today.
Once again … what you have heard is not meant to move you to social activism without you are also moved to evangelism. Only the blood of Jesus can save, and we must be witnesses for Him and not just mad at others. “Being mad won’t fix nothing.” We need to get motivated to stand up and speak out for Jesus and the children.
Victory
begins at home!
