John 8:44 “You are of your
father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a
murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is
no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources,
for he is a liar and the father of it.
What
lie are you believing? What lies of the devil are you hearing or tempted to
believe and are perhaps carrying around with you?
All
lies are from the devil – the truth is not in him – he is the father of lies.
More than anything else the devil wants you to believe the lie.
What
is stopping you; holding you back; making you afraid; limiting you; (you’re too
old, too young, too pretty, too intelligent) separating you from God or others;
depressing you; robbing your joy; or making you angry?
How
can we successfully combat the lies of the devil?
Isaiah 54: 17 No weapon formed against
you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment
You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And
their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.
2 Corinthians 10
4 For the weapons of our
warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5 casting down arguments and
every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing
every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
Jude 1
20 But you, beloved, building
yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
21 keep yourselves in the
love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Philemon 1:6 That the sharing
of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing
which is in you in Christ Jesus.
1.
Become pro-active and spiritually combative against the lies of the
devil.
2.
Build yourself up through prayer and by walking the love walk.
3.
Begin acknowledging every good thing that is in you in Christ Jesus.
