we are tonight, in about the middle of the Feast of Tabernacles
John 7
14 Now about the middle of
the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught.

infallible and inerrant in its original text, preserved through the ages as
final authority for all life.

Messiah
o Not Buddha

Yahweh ben Yahweh or some dude named Harry Krishna
o Not mother earth or
father time; your fairy god mother or guardian angel
o Not Mohammad, not
Mahdi and not the Jesus of the Koran
o There is but one
Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth, born of the Virgin
Mary in the town of Bethlehem of Judea near 2000 years ago; both Son of God and the Son of Man. He lived
a sinless life, died an atoning death and was raised to life on the 3rd
day victorious over death, hell and the grave. He lives forever as King of
Kings and Lord of Lords – He is Savior and the only Messiah of the one true
living Jehovah Almighty; He is the Jesus of the Bible,
He is coming again to reign eternally and He is my friend.

One Way
o Not “Who you are” or
“Who you think you are”, “don’t you know me and my money” plan (you can’t buy
you or anyone else into heaven … stop paying purgatory ransom)
o Not the broad
pathway of anything goes … It’s not the “I’m no worse than anybody else”
argument that will prevail
o Not World Peace
initiatives a person can visualize
o Not the humanitarian
highway of good works
o Not the “all roads
lead to heaven” pluralistic approach to God
o Not the “mother
earth” green way to eternal bliss – “I take care of her, she’ll take care of
me” path
o Not the “there is no
God” or “I didn’t understand” defense
o Not the martyrdom
approach of religious fanatics who are deceived into imagining they can kill
enough infidels to warrant 70 virgins and some wine
o BTW – there are no
“free passes” because you’re so cute or naïve about all of this heaven stuff –
blonde roots won’t work
o We are saved by the
grace of God through our individual faith in Jesus as the Son of God, Savior of
the World, Eternal Messiah and Lord of all. His blood paid the price …
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace
you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the
gift of God
Romans 10 (NLT)
9 If you confess with your
mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the
dead, you will be saved.
10 For it is by believing in
your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your
mouth that you are saved.
11 As the Scriptures tell us,
“Anyone who trusts in Him will never be disgraced.”
12 Jew and Gentile are the
same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who
call on Him.
13 For “Everyone who calls on
the name of the Lord will be saved.”
14 But how can they call on Him
to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if
they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone
tells them?
15 And how will anyone go and
tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful
are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”[
It
is the Feast of Tabernacles … the Feast of Ingathering - I send you out to “Go
and Tell” in Jesus’ Name! This Sunday is the “Great Day” … Bring a friend to
Church this Sunday and Jesus will go home with them.
