Why would God send His Son into this world?
Because we need a Savior! You see …
Without a Savior, this life is the best it ever gets.
Without a Savior, this world is the best place you will ever live!
· According to the US Department of Justice, 1 woman is raped every 2 minutes in the United States. That’s more than 250,000 women every year.
· Approximately 13 million people, (close to 5% of the US population) are victims of crime every year.
· About 1 and ½ million people in the US are victims of violent crime each year
· Approximately 6700 people die each day in America.
o 2600 from Cardiovascular Disease
o 1500 from Malignancies
o 120 Motor Vehicle Accidents
o 158 Other Accident Related Deaths
o 338 Respiratory Diseases
o 200 from Diabetes related problems

· Between 3500 to 4000 abortions each day in the US. Worldwide: 42 million per year or approximately 115,000 per day.
· 52% of women obtaining abortions in the US are younger than 25; 32% between 20 and 24; while teenagers account for 20% of all abortions in the US.
· 64% of abortions are performed on women who have never been married and about 10% are women who are divorced.
· 18% of the Abortions are obtained by women who identify themselves as “Born Again” Evangelicals.
· 93% of all abortions occur for social reasons such as unwanted, unexpected or inconvenience.
· War
o There are somewhere between 5 & 15 Major Wars going on at any given time and as many as 2 dozen lesser conflicts worldwide.
o In today’s warfare, more than 75% of those killed or wounded in wars are non-combatants.
· Hunger – 395 million people do not know where their next meal is coming from today.
· 30,000 people die each day from nothing more than a lack of clean drinking water.
· Orphans – 143 million orphaned and abandoned children in 93 developing countries (9% of all the children in the world)
o It is hard to grasp such large numbers, so picture being on a very long road trip. If you had these orphans hold hands in a line, you would see over 1,700 orphans per mile. If you were to follow that line of Orphans holding hands, driving 60 mph, you could drive 24 hours a day seeing 1,700 orphans every mile, hour after hour, day after day without stopping for over two months, and you would still see orphans holding hands. · Almost 1/3 of the children in United States, (representing 28 million children), are living without a father in the home. (73 million total)
· Facts about orphans in America:
o Almost 3 million (4.1%) of children, in the United States, are living without parents.
o Over 50% of youth in shelters and on the streets reported that their parents either told them to leave or knew they were leaving but did not care.
o Of the near 3 million children who live on the streets of America, one third are lured into prostitution within 48 hours of leaving home.
o 1 in 8 youth under the age of 18 will leave home and become homeless and in need of help to survive.
o On top of these numbers, in 2007 513,000 children lived outside of the home in some type of foster care).
Without a Savior, this life is the best it ever gets.
Without a Savior, this world is the best place you will ever live!
This is why God sent His Son … because we need a Savior.
Our World is lost and troubled and it needs help - Help which can only come from God who so loved the world that He gave His Only Son …
We need a Savior …
From what are we saved?
1. Saved from sin.
2. Saved from self.
3. Saved from separation.
